Through the Syria Resilience Initiative (SRI), he received a solar-powered sprinkler system that cut his costs fivefold, reduced irrigation time, and doubled his cultivated land.
This success reflects a larger truth: climate-smart solutions are the key to Syria’s agricultural recovery. With agriculture consuming 87% of water use, introducing solar irrigation, efficient sprinklers, and diversified crops is vital to ensure food security and resilience against climate shocks.
SRI demonstrates that with the right tools, farmers can adapt to climate change, secure livelihoods, and restore hope for their families.
